very week, Wrecked will be highlighting bands playing the upcoming Bay Area Metal Festival. Check out Short Fuse from Redwood City, CA.
Welcome to the gut punch that calls itself Short Fuse. Short Fuse brings a raw and menacing approach to metal with a uniquely honed sound few could even attempt to replicate. These guys leave no holds barred — one minute they’ll beat you over the face with a fury of blast beats, rip the heart from your chest with demonic low growls, and then hypnotize you with hauntingly melodic choruses. Short Fuse isn’t afraid to sacrifice speed at times, either, their signature sound of buzzsaw guitars and sludgy riffs don’t sacrifice an ounce of brutality in the process. Short Fuse bring a level of dynamics that goes unmatched by its peers, and is definitely a band you can’t afford to miss at the BAMF Festival this summer.
SHORT FUSE, from Redwood City, CA formed in 2005 with experienced musicians from SF Bay area. Shortly after, they released their first full-length CD, which was aired nationally on XM Satellite for 3 years. In 2010, their “Shred The Dead” CD was released which lead to their self-produced “Shred The West” Tour. They’ve played on main stages with artists Alice In Chains, As I Lay Dying, Buckcherry, Carcass, Disturbed, Fear Factory, (hed)P.E, Mudvayne, Obituary, Powerman5000, Suicide Silence, at such prestigious locations as The Tweeter Center Amphitheater near Boston, West Palm Beach International Raceway – Florida, and various Southern California high profile venues including The Grove of Anaheim, Key Club, Fox Theater, and Galaxy Theatre. They’ve performed in numerous national festivals including Locobazooka (twice), Locofest, and California Metalfest (3 consecutive years). SHORT FUSE with pulse pounding stage presence and artful precision stimulates senses of underground and main stream metal fans alike.
