Recap & Reactions: Mad Men reads your “Tea Leaves”

On a night of exciting season premieres (Game of Thrones, The Killing), I’ve decided to keep my focus trained on the continuing efforts of AMC’s period epic, Mad Men. Earlier tonight, we were treated to the fifth season’s sophomore episode, “Tea Leaves.” While it may not be clear exactly where this season is headed just yet, there are definite traces of the series’ characteristic slow burn. Check out my spoiler-filled thoughts and comment with your own after the break!

If you’re a fan of the British sci-fi series Doctor Who, you’re probably as excited as I am about this season of interstellar adventures. After last season’s cliffhanger, fans are on fire with the possibilities that lie ahead. After an update from executive producer Steven Moffat, the two loyal companions to the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amelia Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill), will be leaving the Doctor’s side after the 5th episode of the upcoming 7th season. Recap & Reactions: Mad Men returns with “A Little Kiss”

I recently took the time to catch up on Mad Men, AMC’s critical and populous smash hit, by watching all four previous seasons on Netflix Instant Watch. Luckily, I managed to do so in time for the series’ eagerly anticipated return earlier tonight. We here at Wrecked have been wanting to branch out, content-wise, so I’ve decided to take advantage of Mad Men‘s heated, two hour re-entry into the pop culture atmosphere and start a series of episode reaction articles. MUST WATCH: Black Dynamite Animated Series Pilot Kicks Some Honkey Ass!

“Black Dynamite” was easily one of the most surprisingly amazing comedies of these last few years. Though it was hardly a commercial success right off the bat, it’s been growing more and more popular as of late just by word of mouth alone. It’s one of those movies that’s so damn hilarious and kicks so much ass, it’s almost crime to not have seen it by now. For those of you that still haven’t, do yourself a favor and go pick it up. You won’t regret it.

But I’m not here to talk about the movie. “Black Dynamite – The Animated Series” is reportedly expected to air early this year. Although the trailer has been floating around the web since last fall, somehow I hadn’t heard about it until now. The full pilot episode has been difficult to find in full, but the it’s currently available on JoBlo.com. We’ve got the details here.

Take A Bite Out Of Bob’s Burgers

A NEW SHOW! It’s animated, it’s on Fox, and its not created by Seth MacFarlane or Matt Groening….WHA?! The show is Bob’s Burgers, created by Loren Bouchard (co-creator of Home Movies and who also produced Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist). Bob’s Burgers revolves around Bob Belcher, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin (of recent Archer fame) and his family who own and run a burger shop.

This show is god damn incredible!
